E-DREAMS
The wild ride of Kozmo.com!
A film by Wonsuk Chin (Too Tired To Die)
Featuring Joseph Park and Yong Kang
EDREAMS is a feature-length documentary, which captures the highs and lows of the dotcom frenzy following the lives of Joseph Park and Yong Kang, founders of Kozmo.com. It is a behind-the-scenes look at the chaos of a start-up company, the madness of chasing the dream of wealth and the American dream. Relentless young 20-something 1st generation immigrants who quit their jobs on Wall Street, Kozmo was launched in 1998 and in the span of two years became a $300 million internet company with 3000 employees delivering videos and snacks to your door in under an hour. Eventually comes the market crash of April 2000. Suddenly, the climate surrounding Internet companies changed. It was now all about profitability and dotcoms were dropping like flies. The gold rush was over and everything spiraled downwards.
DVD Extras:
Commentary track (by the director and the principal of the movie), an additional documentary (15 minutes – “Catching Up with Joseph Park…”) and cast/filmmaker bios.
